Logs are used to view telemetry in a log format. They are useful for viewing low speed sensor values, viewing and communicating control sequences states, and debugging operations.

## Creating a log

Create a log with the `Create a log` command in the [command palette](https://docs.synnaxlabs.com/reference/console/ui-overview#search-and-command-palette), or by adding a new tab and selecting the log visualization.

> Make sure that you are working in an [**active project**](https://docs.synnaxlabs.com/reference/console/projects). A log created outside one is **not saved**.

## Configuring the log

Click the log button in the bottom-left corner to open the Component Toolbar and configure the log. Select multiple channels and adjust formatting to your needs.

## Sharing and exporting

Select `Copy link` from the Projects or Component Toolbar. Anyone on the Core can open it from a browser.

Select `Export` to save the log as a JSON file. Drag the file back into the Console to import it.
