Metadata and labels

Add metadata and labels to ranges in the Console or in code.

Metadata stores key and value pairs on a range, such as a part number or a test configuration. Keys and values are text. In code, cast each value to the type that you need. Labels sort ranges into groups that you can filter by.

Set metadata

Enterprise
  1. On the range overview, click in the Metadata section.
  2. Enter a key and a value.
  3. Press Enter, or click .

To change a value, click it and type the new value. The Console saves it when you click away. You cannot change a key; delete the pair and add a new one. A value that is a link shows a button that opens it.
